Greetings,
My name is Alabaster, and I am writing on behalf of the DisabiliTease Festival, founded and co-produced by Minda Mae in partnership with Lakota Shekhar and Scarlett Tart.
Now entering our fifth year, the DisabiliTease Festival (DTF) is a professional festival celebrating disabled burlesque, cirque, cabaret, and drag performers. This festival aims to challenge and overturn the notion that individuals with disabilities are less desirable, alluring, or competent as performers. It strives to provide a safe and inclusive environment for disabled performers to express themselves and receive the recognition and validation they deserve.
Our second-ever HYBRID festival will take place July 18-19, 2025. The 2025 DisabiliTease Festival’s Friday show will be live-streamed in person in the Twin Cities, and Saturday’s show will be completely virtual. We are looking for donors, advertisers, and sponsors, both local to the Twin Cities and worldwide, to help us cover the costs of this festival.
As a burlesque fan, I would like to offer you the chance to support a festival that uplifts a demographic of performers that are THRIVING and too often overlooked. You can learn more about the festival and sponsorship opportunities in our Donor and Sponsorship Information Kit at our Support page on our site. Please let us know by June 25 if you’re interested in sponsorship or have any questions. The due date is July 1st.
If you share our vision and want to help us bring these performers to audiences around the world, please email us at sponsorship@disabiliteasefestival.com, and let’s start working together!
If you’d rather support us by donating an item or gift card to our silent auction, you can complete the Silent Auction form with details about the item you’d like to donate, and we’ll get the ball rolling! We are also seeking in-kind donations for performer thank-you bags. Feel free to reply to us if you are interested in that type of support, and we can provide more information.
We look forward to hearing from you and can't wait to see what kind of partnership we can create. Please let us know if we can answer any further questions.
Kind regards,
Alabaster, on behalf of
The DisabiliTease Festival Sponsorship Team
