THE BIGGEST BLACKEST DRAG SHOW IN DENVER IS BACK... This time with a theme!!! Come COOKOUT READY! We boppin' to classics from 80s to 2000s all nite long. The Juneteenth Nite FreakFest is a celebration of the freedom to be Black (n' freakyyy ofc) inspired by the legendary 80's/90's Atlanta event Freaknik. The night will start off with a variety show featuring drag and burlesque followed by an after party with contests and raffles. There is a discount code for BIPOC folx!!! The FreakFest will be housed at The Pearl, a LGBTQ+ sapphic focused multi-room bar (formerly Mercury Cafe) in the upstairs warehouse. 2199 California St, Denver, CO 80205. No aerial this time, but don’t worry — the energy will be sky-high and the thirst will be real. It’s loud, proud, and deliciously inappropriate — just the way we like it. The Latest Featured Denver Burlesque Performer: Morningstar Darkling!
It's Denver's Demonic Darkling! Welcome to the stage... Morningstar Darkling!
Morningstar has evaded the authorities for centuries while they spend their years in the underworld as the head bitch of the dark magick supply chain. Although they love residing in Hell, they occasionally make appearances on Earth disguised as a burlesque performer. I believe it’s been about 200 years since Morningstar last performed on Earth, so you all are getting the performance of the century tonight. As a dear friend to Baphomet, Morningstar is here to remind us all that gender and sexuality are idiotic man made constructs. And they simply do not have time for such human stupidity. Please put some money in the air for a performer from another time and dimension, Denver’s Demonic Little Darkling, Morningstar!
